Supported MCP Server Modes​

  • remote_http
  • remote_sse
  • local_stdio

Local MCP Allowlist​

Local stdio servers are restricted to allowlisted templates via:

  • AI_MCP_LOCAL_ALLOWLIST_JSON

Example:

Only allowlisted template commands and args are launched.

Operational Controls​

  • AI_MCP_PROCESS_IDLE_TTL_SECONDS
  • AI_MCP_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_SECONDS

These control local process lifecycle and MCP call timeout behavior.
